Training Tip for Week 8

Ernie suggests When breeding Hackneys or buying a youngster, try and spend some time playing with them just 10 minuits a day, trust them,get them to trust you, make them your friend and like us you should have a friend for life.

Linzi suggests When keeping colts always allow them at least 30 minutes free time in the paddock to kick their legs and keep them sane.If you're not fortunate enough to have a stallion paddock, lunge them everyday throughout the winter so as they don't become bored.

Ernie and Linzi Walsh have a genuine love and respect for their Hackneys and it shows, an unfortunate incident in the show ring at UNEX in October which could have had disastrous results was handled quickly without stress to their magnificent stallion Southside Equaliser whom is treated as one of the family.
